Sunday 15 September
Welcome Reception – Palazzo Dandolo
We invited delegates and registered companions to join us as the global egg industry united for the IEC’s 60th anniversary celebratory event in Venice. This 2-hour Welcome Reception was held in the elegant Palazzo Dandolo.
In its prime location overlooking the Grand Canal, this venue blends original features with contemporary character. Its elegant Venetian style provided the perfect backdrop for delegates to reunite with industry peers and establish new business connections over drinks and canapes, ahead of the conference’s official opening.
Dress code: Smart casual. We recommend comfortable shoes as guests will be walking from the pier to the venue.
Monday 16 September
Companion Tour (registered companions only)
Floating among Venice’s history! Registered companions were invited to enjoy a tour of Venice at a relaxed pace from one of the city’s famous gondolas. Following a morning gliding through this iconic floating city and exploring St Mark’s Square and Doge’s Palace, companions got to reflect, relax and indulge over a traditional Italian lunch at a family run restaurant.
Please note: This companion tour involves walking so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.
Golden Island experience with dinner & drinks– Lido Island
After the first day of conference sessions, delegates and registered companions were invited on a water coach ride to the spectacular Hotel Excelsior on Lido Island. Surrounded by white sand and blue seas, attendees enjoyed drinks on the legendary terrace of the world-famous Film Festival venue, before having an informal buffet-style dinner.
Dress code: We recommend smart casual clothing for this event.
Tuesday 17 September
Companion Tour (registered companions only)
Experiencing the beauty of Murano! Quaint and charming, this island is famed for its history of glass making that spans centuries. Companions got a feel for its unique artistry with an exclusive glass factory tour and witnessed skilled artisans at work. After a captivating morning journeying into the world of Venetian craftsmanship, they settled down to an exquisite lunch at Vetri Ristorante, boasting panoramic views of the canals.
Chairman’s Reception – Stucky Garden, Hilton Molino Stucky
For his final conference as IEC Chairman, Greg Hinton invited delegates and registered companions to soak up the Italian sunshine at this networking reception! In the hotel founder’s namesake garden, delegates enjoyed drinks with friends and colleagues following the second day of insightful conference sessions.
Wednesday 18 September
60th Anniversary Gala Dinner – Venetian Ballroom, Hilton Molino Stucky
Delegates joined us in making IEC history as our conference drew to a close! Remembering the last 60 years and toasting to the future, we invited delegates and companions to indulge in the height of Venetian luxury at our 60th Anniversary Gala Dinner. Guests enjoyed exceptional cuisine and the chance to relax and unwind with live entertainment, drinks and dancing.
Dress code: We recommend smart suits and cocktail dresses for this event.
