Safety and useful contacts
Venice is generally considered a safe city, however, as in all cities you should never let your guard down and leave expensive items unattended. Pickpockets take advantage in airports, train stations and tourist sites.

The nearest hospital, Ospedale Civile SS Giovanni e Paolo, is a 20-minute private water taxi ride, or 40-minute public water bus ride from the hotel. The nearest pharmacy is Farmacia ai SS Cosma e Damiano Dott Ghezzo, located an 8-minute (1km) walk from the hotel. For directions please check the IEC Connects app or speak to hotel concierge.
If you require a doctor during your stay, please contact the hotel concierge.
Electricity
Volts: Italy operates on a 230V supply voltage and the standard frequency is 50Hz.
Electric plug/adaptors: For Italy there are three associated plug types, types C, F and L. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins. Plug type F is the plug which has two round pins with two earth clips on the side. Plug type L is the plug type which has three round pins.
