Getting to the hotel
Hyatt Regency Nice Palais de la Méditerranée is located 7km from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and 1km from Nice-Ville train station.
Taxi
From the airport: Taxis with a mileage meter are available when you exit the terminal. Transfer time is approximately 20 minutes, and costs around €40.
From the train station: Taxis are available on the station square, on the Avenue Thiers. Transfer time is approximately 10-15 minutes and costs around €35.
Tram
From the airport: Take tram line n°2 which is accessed from outside of each airport terminal and connects the airport to the city centre. Transfer time to the Alsace-Lorraine stop is approximately 20 minutes, with a 15 minute walk to the hotel. Trams to the city are available every 10 minutes, and cost €1.5 per person.
COVID-19 travel regulations

Visas, passports and other documents
A passport valid for at least 3 months after the envisaged departure date is required for travel to France.
Foreign visitors from most IEC countries can enter France without a visa for up to 90 days. However, you should check the French government website before you travel for the most recent information relating to your country.

Currency
The currency throughout France, including in Nice, is the Euro.
Weather
Throughout April, average lows of 10°c and highs of 16-18°c can be expected. The weather is generally mild and sunny at this time of year.
April in Nice is the spring season and rain is not uncommon; therefore layers, jackets and umbrellas are advised.
Clothing
For IEC events, including the social programme, we suggest business-casual dress.
Safety and Emergency Contacts
Nice is considered safe however, as in all cities you should never let your guard down and leave expensive items unattended, as pick pockets may take advantage in airports, public transport and tourist sites.

The nearest hospital is located an 8 minute drive (2.3km) from the hotel. The nearest pharmacy is Pharmacie Meyerbeer, which is located a 5 minute walk (400m) from the hotel. For directions please check the IEC Connects app or speak to hotel concierge.

Electricity
In France, the standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz.
There are two associated plug types, types C and E.
Tipping
Tipping in France is considered more of a gesture, and less of an obligation. If you receive very good service, you are welcome to reward it with a tip, but it is not expected. Service is normally included in the bill in restaurants, hotels and taxis. Therefore, it is optional whether to round up the bill or not.
